Apr 24, 2022 · Trails Hiked. Blanca Lake. Heard some friends say they hiked this trail recently so I went to check it out. There is still snow on the road. Definitely need high clearance, and probably awd/4wd to get through this part. Two cars turned around. I didn't make it to the trail but I'm sure there's still snow on it. There is compact snow and ice on the road approaching Jack Pass, which clears up after turning down onto FR 63 to Blanca Lake. We arrived around 8:30 AM and there were about a dozen other cars.
