Replacing front struts and other stuff. I very often check this forum for information but have never posted. I want to pass along what I have learned about the Subaru front suspension. My wife's 2019 Ascent developed a significant banging noise when driving over slight dips in the road at any speed. My first thought was the struts are bad.

The basic difference (es) between a shock absorber and a strut are that the strut incorporates the spring perch (es) and hub attachment point into the assembly. It's still a shock absorber, though.
